These hats were made for cousins, one is just a year old and the other is almost 9 months old.
These are nice because the hats can be rolled to make a brim, for a better fit. Hopefully, I'll be able to have a pic of the two boys and Lizzie (another cousin wearing her hat.

Pattern: Crocheted Pumpkin Hat by Kay Meadors, Free Ravelry download found here
Yarn used: Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Orangeade and RH Soft Yarn in Leaf. About 1 1/2 skeins Cotton Ease for both and scant amount of RH Soft yarn.
Tweaks: This was tricky because I made two hats for cousins, one just turned one year old, but has a larger than average head and one is 9 months old. My gauge was off using a 6.0 hook, so for the one year old, I did the increases using a 5.5 mm (I hook for me) and then the body using the 6.0 and ended up with a hat about 18”. For the younger one, I did the entire hat using a 5.5 mm hook.
I also added a vine to make it kinda stand out a little.
Yarn totals were for each hat.
Easy pattern, fun to do. Just wish I had the babies with me when I made them.
