This AM, I received a forwarded e-mail, with a message from Naomi, telling me "This is from my LYS (Knit One), scroll down and check out the last free pattern. :)"-now I am half-asleep and scrolling, scrolling and trying to figure out "what is she talking about?" and there it is, MY Bubbles Baby blanket-listed in the featured free patterns for May in their latest newsletter.
This blanket, one of my first patterns (may be the first) ever written, was written up after I needed an emergency baby shower gift and had two days to figure it out. It has been published in the Crochet Pattern a Day Calendar 2006 and is on Ravelry, 106 of them have been made on Ravelry alone-in every type of yarn and size, edgings added, etc. It's amazing to me how many different looks one pattern can produce using different yarns, adding trim, amazing colorways, etc. Weekly, I receive emails with pictures and/or stories on people who found it through Crochet Pattern Central, who they made it for, what yarn.
I am always amazed how popular this pattern is and more amazed at the number of people who write to me just to say "Thank you".
Nice email to wake up to-thanks Naomi!
