Our 44th President!

What a historical day for our country! Elena watched it in school and friends of ours did go to Washington to see it in person. It was frigid today and no way could I have withstood the crowds and the cold, but watched it and am reading all I can about it. Hope and Change, all we can ask for.

My daughter saw it in school, too - I agree this is an exciting time in history! I feel fortunate to get to live through it. Let's hope things start to get better for our country now, especially in regards to the economy and the war in Iraq.

As cold as it is with a wind chill of about 15 degrees, once you are either out of the wind or with a big enough group of people, it really wasnt THAT cold. Of course I had a bunch of layers on and had to take a super hot shower when I got home, but the cold wasnt that bad! Traffic was a million times worse ;)
