President-Elect Barack Obama

Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? This is and probably will be the most historic election of my time and I was thrilled to have been able to participate in it. It is truly time for a change and Obama will be walking into a mess, but he's given me hope and that's all I can ask for.

I will add, McCain's concession speech was one of the most moving speeches I have heard in a long time and I was overwhelmed by it. I have raised my daughter to never see any color or racial barriers; we are all equal and I know she understands this and lives by that rule. This is a time of hope for all of us.

I, for one, am impressed and proud of my country today.

I have never seen an election cause such passions...

Which in this case, was an awesome thing. It kind of forced people to go to the polls.

Now, Obama has even more of a long journey ahead of him....but I too, have hope again.

It is truly exciting, isn't it?! I wish more people thought like you when it comes to what they teach their kids.

As a fellow BOE employee, aren't you glad the election is O-V-E-R? The past few weeks have been crazy for me at work!
