Crazy Easy Beanie/Crusher Hat

I can't help it, I keep buying patterns off Ele at Etsy. They are always error free, easy and fast. The latest is her Crazy Easy Beanie/Crusher Cotton hat (w/choice of brim). The patterns calls for Sugar N Cream, but I had to kick it up a notch or two.

For this one, I used Berroco Cotton Twist, a cotton/rayon blend, roll brim style. The Cotton Twist is a teensy bit finer than regular WW cotton, but it came out fine (I think anyway). Elena snagged it for herself, but we shall see if she wears it.

I plan to make another one using Pakochu Organic Cotton in Cafe.

Next up, testing this very cool weaved hot pad for Kimberly.

Hi Deneen, Love the hat. Very nice colors.

I have that pattern! I liked it and I found no errors (however I thought I did in the beginning but it worked out beautifully). When the hat was finished though it was so small I ended up giving it to my niece, who is 4! My friend made the hat and hers was teeny too. I always knew that she and I crochet tightly....so I don't know if Ele crochets a bit on the loose side, or I crochet mad tight. How do yours work out size wise? I like her other patterns a lot but I don't want them all to be toddler hats. Maybe I should try going up a few hook sizes.

Sorry...I have a second question. Does that yarn have a bit of sparkle to it or is it the photo? I like it.

Love the hat and the yarn is beautiful. You sure can't get colors like that with Sugar and Cream.
