First Scrumble

Ravelry has been very, very bad for me-I've been buying up stash, swapping stash, finding new toys I wanna buy and searching them out and now joined a scrumble swap that Maven forced me kicking and screaming into asked me to join in.

No, I have never scrumbled, freeformed or anything like it. I've winged, but never any of the aforementioned.

It's 7 weeks long, I send to the same person, she adds, sends to her person, etc and in 7 weeks, I have a "masterpiece". Unfortunately, people will send stuff to me and I will have to help create their "masterpieces" and it kinda intimidates me.

Your scrumble looks great, Deneen! I'm so nervous about ever trying it that even reading your post gave the cold sweats. I can't wait to see your progress. :)

What a fun swap. Can't wait to see your end masterpiece. I'm always so amazed at freeform pieces that. Close up and small it always looks like a big jumble of yarn to me, but then you step back and see the bigger picture and it's a beautiful work of abstract art. Very intriguing.

Well, at least we did have something in common until now....

I've never scrumbled neither.

Course, I've never sewed or anything like that either so....

I'm so excited to be the next one to add to your scrumble. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. I'll post the pic on my blog when I'm done and before I pass it along.

Interesting, but Deneen you do Freform when you start one of your creations anyway. Freeform is going with the flow, not really focusing on outcome. It is looking interesting. Is it a potholder? is it a Scarf? Is it a Plane? Whatever it is it has the energy of many people.!
