Noro Shawl

I found this pattern on Ravelry made by Elisa. She felted this pattern-she used Noro Kureyon. So, I decided to try it-I'm using 4 skeins of the Noro and went up to a J hook, although I wish I had used a K hook. She did tell me she had to block the heck out of it-it'll be the teacher Christmas gift for this year.

If all works out, I'll make myself one-hopefully the felting will take care of that itchiness the Noro tends to give me. The picture showed two skeins used so far. I had to rewind the yarn because each skein had knots where colors merged and one had two half skeins in it-weird, but it happens. It just means lots of ends to weave in.

Elisa did hers with 3 skeins and an I hook, but perhaps I crochet too tightly-

I'll keep you posted.

I never thought of felting a shawl, but Elisa's turned out beautifully. I bet yours does, too. The colors are sure gorgeous in the Noro yarn.

I am in love, love, love! I have this horrendous shawl and hat addiction, and I think I am going to have to make this shawl for myself. Gorgeous! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
