Back to School today

Yup, early post-been up since 5, nervous for E, but don't want her to know. She's sound asleep, but did remind me last night not to forget to get her up for school (not a chance of that). She's excited as heck......pics later....whew the summer flew by fast.....

Update: She woke up herself at 6:45 AM (rare), very excited. Completely changed her mind about her first day outfit, so we got dressed twice, etc. Also refused to wear new shoes today either. Kids, go figure. She got on the bus, never looked back, never said good-bye, sniff....all grown up.

Em got up, got dressed, changed, demanded I find something special for her to present to her bus driver and went off without a care too, lol. Since when don't our kids need us with them every second?

Aw, that's so sweet. Kids are a riot. Why in the heck do they send them back for the first day in the middle of the week? I never understood that.

Yes, she looks very confident. That is a good thing!

I saw Sierra at her recess today getting her feet wet in the puddle and then covering them with dirt...sigh.

Aww, so sweet. Don't blink; before you know it, she'll be in high school like my baby is. *sniff*

She looks great!!

*sigh* It's heartbreaking when they get so independent, but at the same time, we have to be excited for and proud of them.
