Imagine My Excitement and then Disappointment

I was sitting in the living room and I heard the UPS truck come down the street (a daily occurrence, yet he rarely stops here-apparently a neighbor down the street has a bad "QVC addiction". Lo and behold he stopped here, I heard the sound of "thump" as the package was plopped on the front porch. I was in the middle of something (okay, it was a half-nap, the kind you take when your child is playing in the next room, where you are on the couch, cognizant of all going on around you, yet still lie there, ignore the phone, etc-moms know and some with grown children may remember these). I finally dragged my butt onto the porch and saw a package from "Simon and Shuster Publishing"-I squealed and tore into it, but this is what was inside:

Damn, I'm not in the knitting one, but the crochet one! Aargh. I called customer service at Andrews McNeel (somehow they're Simon and Shuster for this publication) and the girl I talked to was nice, she said she would contact the distributor and have them send the correct one-did I happen to have the ISBN for the correct one. Thank goodness for cable internet and Amazon-I did.

So all you who had patterns published, looks like the contributors are getting their calendars sent to em already. I hope everyone gets the right one.

That is really early! I'm not in it so is it worth buying?

Pink, it's sealed (the inside pages) the patterns on the outside look cute, but what do I know (LOL).

I don't know if they're gonna send a call tag to pick this up yet-they're supposed to call me and let me know the details.

This is yet another sign to you from the knitting gods that you really need to pick up the needles!

Yup Kimberly, there are no coincidences in life, first thing that I thought of when I opened the box.

I would have been disappointed, too. You have more willpower than me. I'm afraid I would have ripped into it by now.

I agree, get them needles moving!

Hope you get the correct calendar soon.

Oh Deneen, you just KNOW I would agree with Kimberly - it is a total sign for you to pick up the needles. No fear, remember? You'll do good at it and then have two kinds of different needle fabric you can make. Hell, if I can do DPN's and a sock you can learn to knit girl!

Aww, how disappointing. Which patterns do you have in next year's calendar? (I'm sure I'll be buying it! I have this year's, and I'm enjoying it--except for the week-long doll clothing patterns. Not really my thing.) ;)

I am way too excited about the Turtle Potholder pattern from July 2-4. I need to make that for my future in-laws!

I have not seen that one yet, maybe for next year. I am better designing crochet than knitting lol!

Listen to the gods of Kobol and knit the eye of Jupiter. Seriously if you have the gift of designing for kniting do it as long as it is fun. At my age I only go for hedonistic crafts hahaha!
