Sara's Nosy Question of the Week

Random and Nosy Stitchery Question for June 3, 2007

Do you have a local group of stitchers you meet with regularly or is the internet your stitching group?

Ha! Better late then never getting into this, right Sara?

I have no one, no group, nothing, I am afloat in Southern New Jersey and rely heavily on on-line communities. When I first started crocheting, I had a book, a set of hooks and some RHSS (what did I know?). Once I started nosing around online, wow-did things change. I learned so much from forums/blogs, patterns, types of hooks, yarn types, it was overwhelming, yet so nice to have a group to go to when I had a problem, to see ideas, see that others had the same issues with stuff I did.

So that's the answer for this week-

Even though there is a local group, I find most of my help/inspiration/ etc on the internet, too. It's easier to fit into my schedule :-)

I feel your pain... I too have no one, no group, nothing... well I wouldn't say nothing.. there was a stitch n' bitch taking place not too far from me... well, I went twice and never returned so now I rely heavily on internet communities and totally enjoy the people I meet.
