Much to my chagrin

I think I am going to be admitted to the hospital today. I haven't been feeling well, a trip to the ER over the weekend said pleurisy, but again, I know my body pretty well and honestly, it didn't "feel right".

In any event, I have a low grade fever, chest pain, can't lie down, shortness of breath and basically pericarditis again. It'd been a dull, mild case, but it doesn't seem to be leaving on it's own. Last time treatment was steroids (yes, again), Heprin injections, Lasix and a 7 day hospital stay in CCU. Hopefully, since the temps aren't as high as they've been in the past, they won't do surgery to drain it and meds will be used, but it means I have to be admitted. I'm not happy about it, especially the steroids, but the pain has gotten so bad, I can't avoid it any longer.

I have some tests scheduled for 10:30 AM and I'll know after that-wish me luck and if I don't post, you know I'm in the hospital. It'll be fine, it's not life threatening if they can treat it, so no worries (well, some but no big worries). So much for all those doctors crossing their fingers!
