Another Cool Beanie


I finished up another beanie/hat today-done in Patons Merino (dark gray mix), same pattern as this post.

Now the odd part, I used the same brand of wool-different colors. Same size cap, but this one felt lighter. I weighed it-0.2 ounces lighter than the one done in camo (forest) and deep olive. I did switch to the Bates hooks versus the Clover I used for the first one. I do hold the Clover different, planting my thumb firmly on the rubber thingy and generally causing my hand to cramp. I don't know why I do that-the Bates kind of rolls of my fingers.

Anyway, it's just an observation.

Dye can make a difference in weight, so it's not too weird. I've noticed that sort of thing before,too!
