Please, don't get me wrong...

From my previous post, it sounds as if I hate my decorations-I love having the tree up early, love all the decorations, but after Christmas, it seems as if, with the toys strewn about the living room, the decorations have multiplied and grown to larger sizes. I know I have to take most of them down myself and dread the whole part of packing everything away, wrapping the ornaments, remembering where stuff went that was packed away for the month, etc. We do our tree early every year and after about 3 weeks, I have had enough-I want my chair back in the living room and out of the playroom. I don't hate the ornaments or decorations, hate the packing them up, hauling them up the stairs and into the storage eave that somehow fills up when I take things out of it. It always overwhelms me and saddens me that yet another year has flown by so quickly. so I don't hate Christmas decorations, just hate the taking them down and putting them away.

Putting them up is fun, having them up is great, taking them down totally blows :-p

I am feeling the "end of the year pain" too. I don't know why it it. I think because the last few months I haven't been feeling my best that time just slipped away from me.

I posted last year about how I can tell the way the year went by how I take down the tree... if I wait until new years and gentley carefuly take it down it's been a good year. If I just rip everything down and stuff it in boxes right after Christmas you can guess it's not been a good year. However this year I am pretty indifferent to the whole thing. I would like to have it down so my plants can get the morning sun again but I am just to worn out to take the tree down just yet.
I'm trying to ignore it, like a zit on my forehead.
