New Glasses

We picked them up tonight and I love em on her. I was so sick of those wire framed ones that she stretched out and insisted on wearing down her nose. Of course, she doesn't like the way these feel because they don't have the separate nose pads and they can't slide down her nose. She'll get used to them, I just wish the guy at the optical department hadn't said, in front of her, to have her wear her old glasses during the day and "practice" wearing the new ones at night-I mean what the heck is that? She heard that and suddenly insisted they didn't feel quite right. Obviously the man does not have children or has forgotten what they are like at that age.

Anyway, they're a reddish-burgundy color and have the stripes on the side.

I think she looks adorable as heck! If you click the pics, please ignore the smear of sauce around her mouth-she had pizza and believe it or not, I washed her face off twice and it's still there.

You got the anti-reflective coating, right? I have that on my glasses and now people can see my eyes. She has pretty green eyes. The glasses look great on her.

Tell Elena that those are the coolest glasses. I love the stripes on the side.

Unless there's been a drastic prescription change, I don't recommend switching back and forth... sounds like a recipe for a headache to me!

Those rock! She looks great and she'll get used to them. Me, I had to get used to going back to seperate nose pads with my last new glasses.

She looks adorable!

I agree she'll probably get a headache if she tries to switch back and forth. I've always had an easier time adjusting just wearing the new glasses.

The glasses are really nice... love the color of the frames as well as the stripes.. I remember when my daughter had to wear glasses it was a trying time. I had to emphasize to her how important it was to wear them, since she has cataracts, astigmatism, and farsighted. Oh, switching between glasses is definitely a headache waiting to happen.
