Ack! Bad Day All Around

I have to shower at my mom's then tonight, again, just one big hassle. Anyway, as I was talking to the plumber, Elena accidentally dropped a container holding about 500 plastic pony beads in it on the bathroom floor, yes it opened up and spilled all over.

I decided to pull out the ghan I started for Elena way back when. A winged pattern and another reason why I don't have UFO's-apparently, I assumed I would understand my freaking shorthand and numbers written willy-nilly on a piece of paper. I can't figure out what the hell I started doing or how to start the next freaking block. I could figure it out if I could concentrate on it for more than 2 minutes, but for now, it's another frustration. I started the join row for the new color no less than 10 times and no less than 10 times did I frog. I am thinking about frogging what i did so far, but it's 6 skeins of Cotton Ease, ends already woven in. Yeah, I am batting a thousand today.

Honestly, if I didn't need to shower, I would just climb into bed and call it a day.

Ack! *hugs* That absolutely blows--when it rains, it pours, huh? Take care--I hope Thanksgiving isn't too stressful for you.

(You want I should go beat up the plumber for you?)

oh crap, that sucks! what bs! and needing permits just to replace the hot water heater?! that's weird, even for NJ. ;)

hope you can manage to have an okay thanksgiving aside!

I'm so sorry things got so screwed up! Have you considered switching out the water heater yourselves? You don't need a permit then and as long as you're replacing the same type it's pretty straight-forward. Just a thought. :) Doug says Lowe's should've taken care of the permit FOR you & done the intermediary work with the plumber. At his store such poor customer service would never fly.

I am so sorry, I'd be spitting feathers (& cussing up a storm!). I'll send good vibes that you get this sorted and can have a stress-free Thanksgiving.

I'd have given that plumber an earful too !! The lousy bastard, we can only hope his water heater goes on Thursday. Good luck with the other plumber.

Maybe you can find some way to have Elena occupy your mom's time so you can cook. I hope everything works out for you.

Nothing is going how I planned it for Thanksgiving, either.

Sorry to hear you still don't have hot water. At this point I would do it myself. It can't be all that hard, could it. I mean men can do it, why can't we.

I'm sending you a BIG HUG.
I've never heard of having to have a permit to put in a hotwater heater.
Sending good thought's that today will be better for you.

I hope today goes better for you! No hot water really sucks. Here's a tip to help you out the next time Elna spills her beads. Take a knee-hi hose sock (or use a leg from a pair of panty hose) and hold it over the wand from your vaccuum. You want to have some of the foot loose. Turn on the vac and pick em up. They'll catch in the foot! I do this to pick up spilt beads all the time! Hugs!
