Crochet Pattern a Day Calendar 2007-corrections

You know, I decided to try a scarf from the calendar tonight and chose Sara's scarf. Anyway, I am reading it and it says 6 skeins of Caron Simply Soft and I know it's a mistake and I start flipping through the calendar-so many had errors on yarn and quantities used.

I looked at my patterns again and realized-the yarn was wrong (not just wrong yarn, but amounts) on two of the three. The Bubbles baby blanket takes 1 skein of yellow and 1 skein of white of Pound of Love yarn-they had 3 skeins of white, 3 skeins of yellow of Baby Soft yarn.

The Marvelous Felted Tote said one skein of purple and one skein of green Paton's Merino Wool-each skein has 47 yards in it???? That bag is a one skein bag in solid or 1/2 a skein of each color-it's making me wonder about lots of the patterns now, some the errors are blatant, but what about the others?

I plan to write to Accord now.

That is really strange!

Wow, that's a lot of errors... makes me wonder if my pattern is right. Hell, I'm wondering if mine even made it in, no one has mentioned seeing it and I haven't gotten a calender yet.

Ugh, makes me wonder if I want a calendar at all. I wanted to brag I knew the pattern writers, but if its so wrong, I don't think I'll bother.

Thanks for the heads up! We're human and typos occur all the time... but that many! I think the miscommunication between organizers and designers was the main problem this year.

Oh Deneen not worry too much... You must be proud that your patterns where selected. It´s not your fault, if the organizers didn´t check everything twice.

Yes, my pattern also mentions the wrong thread. I don't have it in front of me but I think it says DMC Pearl No. 5. Well, I sent in to use the DMC embroidery thread that is sold in individual hanks.
