I have nothing fibery to report, nothing crafty to report. Still slogging along on the ghan for Elena and have only done about another 10 rows. It's boring me, but I don't want to start anything else. The days have been flying by too, don't know where all the time is going.
Our vacation is also quickly approaching. Six months ago, it seemed like an eternity away-I have to start making a list, packing summer stuff (it was in the low 80's yesterday, today only 70 and tomorrow 66 for a high), washing some stuff, having Elena try on a few things that I'm not sure if they fit, etc. I still need to get a dress shirt to go with a skirt I have and don't even feel like going to get it. Vacation is wonderful, but having to pack so much stuff (no laundry facilities on the boat) and Elena needs extras for spills, etc. It always overwhelms me. If you forget something, there is a small ship store, but not anyplace to really pick it up til we get to Bermuda, two days later-so basically, you are SOL. I can't wait to leave, but am dreading the packing and unpacking laundry when we get home. I can't imagine how much I'll have-but of course, undies and such will go first-at least it's summer clothing we won't need, but I can't stand letting it all sit. It's only 1 1/2 weeks away and anxiety has hit me over it (again).
I think I'll bring sock yarn with me and some cotton yarn and just hook some dishcloths and maybe a pair of socks. Last time, I didn't bring any with me and sometimes, when out at the pool, I wished I had it with me. Of course, I did find that yarn shop in Bermuda......I'll bring a book too....
Aunt Flo will be coming with me on this trip (again). I really loathe her.
Anyway, hopefully I'll have some fibery things to report in the next few days. I did meet Elena's teacher and noticed she looks great in green (red hair) and I have that JA Boucle in the green tonal to make her a shawl-so that's figured out.
