Seaside Espadrilles-La Plage Completed

I finished and I am so darn happy about it. I ended up doing the La Plage version-which the pattern is available free and online from Interweave Crochet. Here is the link.. Of course, I just realize, they only give you the pattern for the uppers and not the sole-oy, sorry.

I must have tried literally 5-6 different yarns to make the tops and finally settled on some beautiful colored handspun yarn that Kimberly had sent me in the wool swap. It has some thick/thin areas and some beautiful blues and reds mixed in with the brown. I used almost the entire ball making these and have a tiny bit left I may use to try to make a small felted bowl or perhaps a few felted flowers. I doubt Kimberly has anymore of this (if you do, let me know please), but it was awesome to use.

So without further ado:

They look great!! I need to make some, especially since we are headed to the beach in a week...

What am I thinking? I'd never get them done. Maybe for next year...
