GI Follow Up

Ugh-I will repeat, ugh. I have to have a colonoscopy next Thursday with the whole darn prep thing, liquid diet for 1 1/2 days, etc. I am not happy. For now, I am on fiber therapy (like Nat's dad) and Librax to stop intestinal cramping. The doc feels this has nothing to do with the gallbladder being out and my symptoms were the same before I had it out. The gallbladd may have been bad, but wasn't causing my stomach problems. I lost two more pounds from last Friday (according to his scale) and he's calling my rheumy later today.

I'm not happy, but what can I do? Hopefully, I won't gain a bunch of weight back cause I just bought all those clothes!!! I'm crossing my fingers it's not Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He's ruling out diverticulitis and IBD. I dread the damn test (even though I will be completely under, the whole prep thing sucks).

Anyway, I needed a little retail therapy after that. I stopped at Jo-Ann for D-rings for a belt I am making. Their yarn department was so small and I said something to the clerk. She stated they were expanding and the yarn they were getting rid of was the same AC Moore was getting rid of. I wanted Lion Kitchen Cotton-nope, apparently Lion is discontinuing it. They had lots of RHSS, their stuff and Caron One Pounders. I spent $1.99.

I hit Michaels for more Ticker Tape-nope, sold out, but I did pick up 5 skeins of the LB Suede in the color Sage (all same Dyelot) for $2 a skein-so I felt somewhat better.

All for now, just a quick update.

Yikes! Tony's dad had colitis and crohns disease and went on an organic fruit/veggie diet and his intestines have healed themself. It is amazing. He really should have had his colon removed and a bag put on he was so bad. Tony's sister sent him a book and he tried the diet and it worked...and he lost 50 pounds so looks great, too.

That sucks though you have to go through more tests and stuff. I know you are feeling like you are down with the docs and stuff and doing better in the health area, but losing weight so quickly without doing anything can't be good, either.

Ye gods, I'm sorry you aren't through with the tests yet! I know it seems like you've been sick forever. :( Keep your chin up - this too shall pass & you WILL get better. Sending loads of healing thoughts your way....

Good deal on the LB Suede..geez, your retail therapy isn't too expensive at least. You deserve a lottery windfall to cover all the health shit you are having to go thru. I feel for ya girl.

Oh Deneen... I send you a long-distance-hug... You know, I had one last year, they slept me and I didn´t feel anything. The worst part is the preparation drinking that liquid...

ugh! I wish I could do something! I hope they can figure something out if they are going to put you through that. :/

hopefully they are finding out what is going on. and hey, retail therapy is always good, especially when its cheap!

Oh Deneen, I'm sorry. I hope it all goes smoothly and you have answers as soon as possible. The prep is definitely the worst part, I hear it's best if you drink that junk super ice-cold. Allegedly it goes down easier, if that's possible.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you and keeping you in my thoughts.
