Completed Claudia Bolero

I finished it tonight and it fit perfectly. I have to say, it looks much better on in person than in the pictures. I'm no beauty queen, but I will say, I am the most unphotogenic person I know. My husband tried, he really did, and I just look puffy and like shit. I swear in real life I look more human and less puffy, really I do-(edited to add: I made my husband stand up to take the last picture-don't think the angle made that much of a difference, do you?)

Pattern: Donna's Claudia Bolero

Yarn and hook used: Brittany I hook and 3 3/4 skeins of TLC Cotton Plus in Salsa (the trim alone took a full skein and that was modified to 3 rounds, so I guess for the full five rounds you would probably need 4 skeins)

Modifications: For the trim around, I only did 3 rounds instead of 5. Starting chain changed to 60 instead of 50 for a size L bolero (about a size 42" bust)

It looks like he is taking a picture of you while sitting down. I think it is just a bad angle. I like the Bolero and also agree that you look good in red.

By the way, the expression on your face is like "just take the damn picture." It kills me and I had to giggle. :)

btw - thanks for your comment on my blog. I would cook a bit different for Tony, but since his mom has had several heart attacks and is diabetic, I think w/ Tony's genes that he needs to eat just as healthy as I do. He would eat greasy jack in the box hamburgers if I didn't cook food.

I think it's great! And you don't look puffy either. (Just wait until you get a load of my FO pic tomorrow...talk about a Stay-Puff Marshmallow! yuck!)

I also think that's a really good color on you. :)

We are our own worst critics *shakes head* You look good, Deneen, quit yer bitchin. You probably should have smiled, I think that might have made all the difference in whether or not you would have been happier with the picture.

The bolero is very loverly. Excellent job!

Just found your blog and I love it! I discovered we not only share the aches & pains of aging, but also a love for crochet and also the same favorite movie.

I am a busy lys co-owner who is very behind on her blogging. I'm adding you to my bloglines and hopefully I can follow along!
