More musings on Monday

Elena had her dental check up today and did great-teeth are perfect. He cleaned them and gave her a fluoride treatment and we were on our way.

I was able to stop at the post office to pick up my package from the Phillipines. It wasn't Mimi's threads like I thought (now I have that to look forward to), but the purse handles I ordered from of Jackie. These were terrific and exactly what I wanted to use with a fulled bag made out of Cascade 220. Jackie also included a gorgeous toggle bracelet, all hand beaded by Jackie herself. The picture doesn't do the bracelet justice-it's beautiful. Thank you Jackie-I love it and Elena is jealous!

Still working on the stole for my swap. I did peruse some magazines yesterday and decided to make Elena a bathing suit cover-up from the issue before last of Interweave Press Crochet magazine. I plan to use the LB Cotton-Ease I have in my stash. I have a bunch of stuff I want to make, but have to get past the stole thing first and believe me, it's slow moving. Thin cotton chenille doubled up can be a bugger as far as not being able to go as fast as I usually do.

Well, I should run now...things to do.....

Pretty bracelet, Deneen!

I'm quite disappointed it wasnt the threads yet. I wouldnt go for the surface parcel shipping again, so hard to wait. And I'll have to check with the P.O. this week, maybe they can trace the package.

I can't wait to see the purse you're making using those handles.
So happy you liked the bracelet, Deneen! I had a lot of fun making that one specially for you. Had I known Elena would like it, I would've made one fo her as well. Hmmmm.....
