Gah! Do I hate Buffets

It's Sunday AM and I am tired. Elena decided yesterday we had to go to "Old Country Buffet" (which I despise) for breakfast cause she needed their hash browns, waffles, pancakes and pink lemonade. Mike agreed and I reluctantly tagged along.

Now, I despise Old Country Buffet for two reasons: 1) It's a buffet with a gazillion people touching my food before I get to it, kids "taste-testing" on the buffet and too many glutenous people for my liking. 2) I hate any buffets for the above reasons.

I barely ate anything, but Elena was happy. Little brat, never sleeps in, decided this AM to sleep in til 9:00 AM (usually up at 7:00 AM), then she had the audacity to come home from breakfast and take a nap! That never happens-gawd, I hope it's catch up sleep and not some other funky virus/infection/whatever thing going on-update, she slept for over three hours.

I am still working on my stole swap stole-slow going. I picked a yarn that isn't the smoothest to hook with and a pattern that is taking forever. I also realized my aunts b'day is today and I'm going to see her next week and she has a scarf fetish, so I figured, great, I can make her a scarf. I think I'll use some of Beth's silk blend carnival yarn (yes, still have a cake left) and some Tahki cotton yarn-but cannot find a damn summer pattern anywhere. I know I saw some on blogs, I did a google search and came up empty handed, checked CPC and ditto. I hate feeling pressured to come up with something on short notice.

Anyway, sun is out today, although it's only 51. Unfortunately, I have sheets and towels to do, clean the bathroom, mop the kitchen floor and crapola, just remembered make pizza dough.

Gotta run.....................

I so agree about the buffet thing--any place with a sneeze guard isn't a place for the likes of me!

I am with you as well on the buffets.. they are the nastiest things. I get grossed out walking by them..I hate them for all the reasons that you mentioned plus another reason... Food not being held at proper temperatures allows all that bacteria to grow at rampant rates. Talk about food borne illness. Yuck yucky Yuck!
I thought I was a freak for not liking buffets, but I now know differently.
