WIP Wednesday

I am currently working on a pair of socks using Kimberly's V-stitch pattern and the Brown Sheep Wildfoote sock yarn Kathy sent me-love em, although I think I started them out a teensy wide.

Will work on the poncho pattern today, for sure.

Elena wants to go to school, begging because it's class picture day. Her temp was better last night, much better, but she has a very sore throat. I don't know if I should send her and then if she feels bad, I go get her-ugh, decisions. She's not up yet and I had an ear open all night on her, so finaly I just said "screw it and got out of bed about 5:00 AM"

Thanks for Jessica for the Knit Kit she sent me for make a wine bottle gift bag. This pattern uses 3 dpns, so it should be a challenge (I know it said beginner). She also included a Knitting Diary and a pair of 10.5 straights. She is so thoughtful and sends me awesome stuff, yet I have no clue of anything she would like in return or just as a surprise. I was going to make some felted dog balls (minds out of the gutter), but is it safe for the dogs to use fiberfill in them?????

I did make some soap yesterday, lavender-peppermint and it smells great. I also made up some stitch markers, but I can only do that for so long, I get tired of using the pliers, beading board, etc. I am stupid and do it on my lap sitting in a chair, not enough work space.

Shout out to Kari, I hope you start feeling better soon girl. For the hand pain, that Swissmedica 024 Wendy sent me works like a charm. It is available at Walgreens, etc.

Anyway, off to get some coffee......................

I'd glad you liked the kit. I thought it was maybe a bit challenging, but it should definitely keep you busy (what with all the swearing and such)!

And there's no need to send anything to me. I enjoy giving gifts, so that's plenty for me. :-)

Hey D, please email me your mailing address at sedie AT yarnobsession DOT com. Sounds like you're doing a lot better. I hope Elena gets to take her photos.
