Lacy Shell Poncho for Elena

I have made several of these for baby gifts, but finally got around to making one for Elena today.

This is Chelles pattern, found on her website and also in the CPAD calendar this year.

I used 1 1/2 skeins of leftover Moda Dea Ticker Tape yarn and a full 6 ounce skein of some unmarked yarn (acrylic, I'm sure) I found in my stash. I had to use an M (9 mm) hook for the moda dea part and Jimbo's handmade hook in a size J for the WW yarn part.

For someone who was so sick yesterday and still a little sick today, she still managed to be a ham on cue. She's feeling better, not 100%, but somewhat better.

The poncho is beautiful, and Elena makes a lovely model.

I received the shea butter, and it smells wonderul!

I love this pattern too - it looks so cute on little girls! Sure looks cute with the ticker tape added in.
