Still Here

Yep, I'm still here. Still sick, high Am fever, body aches, hard to walk, but I am here. Thanksgiving was an unmitigated disaster, which I tried to avoid, but managed to hit head on. In any event, I'm in no condition for going out and Mike wasn't up to it so yesterday we did it, yes, we cleaned out the entire playroom. 8 bags of trash toys, kitchen set brought downstairs, toys sorted and boxed up, area rug put down, bookshelves moved. It took 8 hours of Mike moving everything and me supervising, but it was so worth it. Elena has been playing "Rachel Ray" all night last night and into this morning. She is beyond thrilled. I feel like something was finally accomplished. Perhaps the tree can go up today or tomorrow.

I have a rheumy appointment Wednesday and Elena's Birthday Party is scheduled at Michaels for next Sunday. I sent the invites through school on Tuesday and haven't received any RSVP's and am a bit anxious. I hope I am better by then. Damn I hate being sick and having something not one damn doctor can figure out correctly.

Enough of the downer shit. The Crochetville Wish List is going well, lots of enthusiasm and warm wishes and that's what it's all about. Thank goodness for Lani helping he out with the elves, lists, etc. I couldn't have done it without her and am so grateful for her help.

I was making an asymmetrical poncho for my mother, was almost done and decided I hated it. Now I have to frog three skeins of Moonlight Mohair-ugh. I did a few more scarves and plan to start the Christmas garland too.

I decided to have my blogiversary contest in January, when things are quiet-so stay tuned.

Have a great weekend.

Bummer about Thanksgiving. If nothing else, it's over with... (((hugs))) I hope you start feeling better real soon!

Is frogging moonlight mohair like frogging RH symphony? I had to frog a row in the shawl I'm doing and I pretty much had to tease each stitch apart individually so the fibers didn't catch in each other too much and it was *such* a nuisance...

Sorry to hear about your Thanksgiving, but you still got more done in a day sick than I do 'healthy'.
