HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Today Elena came home so proud with a package for me. She made me a turkey at school with an apple for a body and gumdrop/minature marshmallow feathers (toothpicks too), as well as jelly orange slices for wings and a circus peanut for a face/wattle.

She unwrapped it for me (of course) and then announced she had to eat the candy on him! She's usually not a sweet eater, but was so tempted. I begged her to wait til her dad saw it, but she was persistant. She allowed a picture for her dad though. She said the turkey felt bloated and was feeling fat and needed to take off a little weight!

So to everyone, from our house to yours, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Beautiful! I'm sure Dad will understand, after all the poor bird was uncomfortable.

That is a cute turkey. I remember when my girls were small and brought sililar ones home, but they did't have a peanut waddle. That is really sharp!

oh I love it. Hmmm. If I found vegetarian versions of the marshmallows and candies, this would make a great decoration!

Thanks for the inspiration, Elena!
