WIP Wednesday

Hey all! I am working on a bolero/shrug for Elena (Bianca pattern) from Donna . I had to frog some last night because of sizing issues, it's an adult pattern and I scaling way down. Cross your fingers for me please!

Question to all you Google AdSense people (Regina, Kari, Sedie, etc).........how much DOES it really pay? I may add the ads sort of like Sedie has them, just links on the sidebar. I am debating this.

My internet was down all last night, I could just get email. Juno claims it was my end, so I had to rename some files and download some access numbers. It works now, still don't know what is going on. Apparently, some phone lines were hit by lightening in the area yesterday, maybe that was the problem, who knows. I don't like when that crap happens.

Jessi and Elizabeth, I read your blogs all the time, just posting can be slow. Just answer the meme!

The sun is finally out here after two days of thunderstorms and rain! Perhaps we shall swim today, but I have to go to some "Dragon show" at the library this AM and pick up prescriptions at the drugstore (emergency card-if they only sold yarn!). As you can read, I have a day of excitement planned! I know this sounds awful, but I cannot wait for school to start. I love Elena more than anything, but boy do I need a teensy bit of quiet time. The girl can talk and is definitely high maintenance! Besides, I want to clean out a bunch of toys and can't do it with her around can I?

Mitzi, thanks for dropping by. It just made me miss ya more!

I got a post card from my Secret Sistah, obviously written with her opposite writing hand. Silly chick!

Also, I dropped out of the RAOK ring because, frankly, they all knitted and I didn't know what the hell they were talking about anyway. They were sooo nice, just not enough time to read everything. Of course, I lost about 20 or so subscribers after that.............real ego stomper I must say!

Gotta run!

yea sure Deneen, bet you say that to ALL the bloggers... ;) Just kidding. Ok, I answered it, it's up on my blog. Fingers crossed for luck on the bolero.

I think you should get her involved in weeding out the toys. Tell her how important it is to give things that you don't use to kids who need toys and go through them together. I do this with my daughter several times throughout the year. I think it teaches a lot of things.

OH...and I agree about the school thing. My daughter is going to start preschool soon and I cannot wait!! Of course, I have another one at home, but I figured that will be her naptime. ;)

Good luck on the bolero. As for the Adsense question, it take a bit of time, I put it on my blog more as a service than as a source of income. Of course, if you put some thought into it, it may work faster and better for you. I'll get to the meme today!

I've got AdSense as well, but I think in my case it is more decorative than anything else, since I don't have too many readers, and I doubt anyone who actually clicks through the ad.

All the best with the bolero!

Well, I have rather distinctive handwriting, so this was the best way to disguise it. I hope you haven't figured me out yet!

Heh--if you lived in a town as small as the one I live in (Walmart is a half hour away, as is pretty much anywhere else to shop) you'd be able to disguise yarn purchases as a drugstore emergency purchase. The pharmacy here in town has a craft section with yarn and hooks and things...

I've yet to see any $$ return from Google. My favorite thing about the AdSense thing is that it tailors itself to your blog and subject-matter. Now, with my blog I get everything from citrus tree advertisements to medical gadgets. Because my blog is so "random", the ads are random too. It totally cracks me up.
