Dishcloth Swap!

I received my swap partners names from Kimberly today-yippee! I have TCs Girl and Gingerchai. I bought a dishcloth pattern book a few weeks ago that has 99 patterns, so each dishcloth is going to be a different, new pattern I've never done. I was going to do the dishcloths on the plane when we went to Disney, but I've been diligently working on them, so I may be able to ship them before the trip. Maybe. Now I have to figure out what to take with me on my trip? I can't imagine not crocheting for a week, can you? Of course it'll have to be something I don't mind using the Crystallites for. I have gotten so used to the Brittany Hooks and my two Soft Touch hooks, I don't know what to do. I don't like using the smaller Crystallites, so it'll have to be something with a larger hook, something I won't need help with (no internet access) and something that can't get me too involved. Any suggestions? The wristbags are out cause I must use my Clover Soft Touch H hook for them and there's no way I want it confiscated on the plane. Chenille washcloths-no, too small a hook. Shoot, I'm sure something will come up.

Elena is eating a little better now, not great, but at least it's something. Her two front teeth are pretty loose now, especially the one on her left side. I guess it's freaking her out. She's you to be losing her front teeth, I think I was in first grade and she's a whole 1 1/2 years younger than I was to be losing them, but the dentist said it's kind of rare, but not that unusual (whatever that means). She's lost three already. Poor kid. Everybody says "what a life a kid must have, no worries, no problems". I disagree, I wouldn't want to be a kid again and I feel for them all, especially in this day and age.

I'm still steaming over the thing with her school trip. Elena's excited though and already has plans for who will walk with us and that's the important part. It's only 5 hours with 40 4-5 year olds after a week at Disney, right?? I just think if you go to the well too many times, it'll eventually come up dry. Note to self: The next time the school telephone number comes up on caller ID and Elena is sitting home with you at the time and you know there are no problems, do not answer!

I figured out I want more of the thin chenille yarn. Yes, it's cheap, but I want a variety of colors and don't want 20 huge cones around the yarn storage area (bedroom). I think for the Christmas in July Wish List I'll include that. Two balls each color, any colors.

I guess I should be preparing for the trip, but I haven't. I did the mail stop, paper stop, contacted the alarm company, but no packing, no putting together clothes, etc. I learned when I do it early, I way overpack. I'm still an overpacker, but not as bad as I could be. Plus I believe you can't pack enough clean underwear. I just dread 7 days worth of clothes from three people (and you know with a kid, it's more that 7 outfits for 7 days). I already do laundry almost every day as it is, so ugh I say!

I better go now, get my sheets done, finish my dishcloths and just do my thang!

Oh crap, it's WIP Wednesday--Okay, just dishcloths. How's that for easy!

You could put some nice hooks in your checked luggage to use while you're there. ;) Small projects are best for on the plane, I find. Less to lug around.
