Better late than never

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday because it was too nutsy around here. Elena has a stomach virus...........she missed school yesterday (dress rehearsal). I had to take Elena to the doctor, as well as take my mother yesterday afternoon. By the time we got home, etc.-it was bedtime.

Anyway, Elena says she feels better today, but we'll see. She has the dance routine tonight at the "big school" and the doctor said she could go, but I'm afraid she'll feel sick again and panic. Whenever she gets nervous, she gets a bit of an upset stomach. Add that to the virus and, ugh, I don't want to think about it.

The cocoon is almost done. Two more rows and the body is done, but now I want to frog part of the sleeves and taper them in a little. I know, it's frustrating for me too.

I did a few dishcloths this week and have to work on a few things once this cocoon is out of the way....

I received some great swap yarn yesterday. I swapped some of the boucle for this pretty purple chenille. I haven't figured out what to make, but something with come up.

I also received a RAOK yesterday fro Vicki at C'ville. First, she sent Elena some "Hello Kitty" Hair Bands, which she loved. She also send a dishcloth she made, an adorable scrunchie made from the trellis yarn (awesome job Vicki) and the pattern book "The Crochet Yearbook", which Vicki said was one of her favorites and I'm sure will become one of mine. Thank you!!

Anyway, I will try to finish the cocoon today or at least by tomorrow.
